The Role

  • Contact and develop relationships with broker introducer sources throughout England & Wales to promote and encourage applications from business borrowers that meet with agreed criteria and personally manage enquiry case load to credit application stage and provide support as required through to formal offer stage in accordance with internal procedures, guidelines and within agreed service level standards to ensure the requirements of Business Lending & Credit Policy are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make telephone based initial introduction and maintain regular contact with NACFB member brokers and introducer sources
  • Develop relationships with NACFB member brokers and other professional introducer sources as directed
  • Manage diary appointments to optimise travel against business production
  • Provide product information, training and support
  • Attend promotional events to support lending programme as directed
  • Assess initial borrower applications and support broker with case requirements
  • Field visits to assess borrower’s property and business location and potential
  • Provide regular updates to the Managing Director on the level and ratio of enquiries and progress of cases against target
  • Liaise with the Secured Lending Manager and Administration Team in accordance with case specific requirements
  • Update and maintain casework on the database maximising the systems capability and using it both as a task prompt and for updating case notes/history
  • Achieve the monthly individual and company agreed goals

Required Skills

  • Valid drivers license with use of own car and able to travel on daily basis UK wide
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to deal with individuals at all levels
  • Possesses sound business and commercial experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates good analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented and a team player
  • A good understanding of the consumer and business finance sector is an advantage

Required Experience/Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in telephone and field based sales, support or training
  • Numerate College degree or equivalent vocational qualification (CeMAP etc)
