Our Client is an important National Lender, currently spearheading the sector with aggressive and compliant growth plans. They are looking for a thoroughly experienced Area Sales Manager to bring their own skills and innovation to the table to ensure the company’s continuing success. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILLITIES
1. To ensure that each Account Manager maximises profitable sales opportunities within their territory
2. To produce and keep up to date a market analysis for the branch regarding sales opportunities and current activity both internally and externally
3. Manage the Account Managers in the preparation, coordination and delivery of time bound action plans to ensure effective follow up of sales leads and prospects
4. Contribute to the development of marketing plans and discussions with Marketing as required in order to promote and deliver the sales strategy
5. Conduct monthly AM reviews and sales meetings
6. Provide timely feedback and report to the Branch Manager re sales performance and sales strategy progress
7. Create presentations to support the Account Manager where needed in dealers, coach the account manager in delivering the presentations as required
8. Ensure that the Account Managers within the branch are achieving/exceeding individual targets, across all products and at the required margin, ensuring weekly feedback is provided to the BM regarding progress and issues.
9. Ensure that account Managers are identifying and managing dealer funding opportunities effectively and ensure where successful the accounts are managed and monitored going forward to ensure maximum return to the business and ongoing partnerships.
10. Ensure that the AM’s are trained to the required levels in all aspects of key skills, behaviours and knowledge required to achieve the individual maximum sales potential across all KPI’s. Regularly conduct gap analysis of each AM, provide coaching and support to the AM’s where needed ensuring each AM is the operating to their full potential
11. Ensure the Account Managers are using optimum territory management practice and effective cold calling techniques.
12. To discuss with AM;s, Credit, Branch Manager and dealers as required to negotiate and agree dealer packages with required ratio’s ensuring maximum return
Essential Attributes
1. Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a management capacity in one of the recognized national motor finance companies
2. Full up to date product knowledge
3. Sound up to date motor industry knowledge
4. Sound up to date consumer/asset/leasing knowledge
5. Consummate skills in presentation and training
6. Clean UK driving licence
7. Clean credit history
8. Excellent track record of managing sales teams and developing strategies
